One of the advantages of David working half days is the ability to do quick outings. This little day trip was one of those outings. We left around noon for a 38 minute drive along the neighboring Cayuga finger lake to Taughannock Falls State Park.

We took an easy hike (only 3/4 mile) to the main attraction, a 215 drop waterfall. It is actually 33 feet taller than Niagara Falls and is the tallest single-drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. Beautiful day for a hike with the temperature in the low 70s.
And just like that, we were back at the marina in time for David’s 4pm conference call.
